Embracing the Rain: A Memorable Session with Katie & Macie


Rainy days often come with a reputation for being gloomy and inconvenient, especially when it comes to outdoor photography. However, sometimes the unexpected happens, and those rain clouds bring a unique kind of magic to a photoshoot. This was precisely the case with Katie & Macie's rainy day session.


Setting the Scene

I am so thankful for neighbors who embrace my last minute shenanigans.  I made their mom get them out of bed because I knew this session would happen.  We met on our side street, right in our neighborhood.  The rain lasted all day, some moments harder than others, but we were ready to embrace what Mother Nature provided.  


A Lesson in Flexibility

This experience with Katie & Macie reinforced the idea that flexibility and openness to the unexpected can lead to some of the most memorable moments. It reminded me of the beauty that lies in spontaneity and the joy that comes from stepping outside of our comfort zones.


Final Thoughts

Rainy days might not be the first choice for many when planning a photoshoot, but they offer a unique opportunity to capture something truly special.
