There’s something incredibly powerful about photographing three generations together. It’s more than just a session—it’s a visual legacy.


When Jayla reached out to include not just her daughter Natalia, but also her mom (affectionately known as YaYa), I knew this was going to be a special one. Set in the peaceful greens of Holl & Stone in Garner, this session became a quiet celebration of motherhood in all its stages—new, seasoned, and everything in between.


Natalia was the tiniest star of the show in her little boots and sweet dress, full of curiosity and charm. And as it turns out, she’s also a huge fan of my cow puppet. (Let’s just say I was not the main attraction.) We played, laughed, and let her steer the show—which is honestly the best way to do it when toddlers are involved.


Jayla brought the calm, steady love that comes from being in the thick of motherhood. And YaYa? She beamed with pride watching her girls together—strong, beautiful, and rooted in love.


We didn’t need a big setup or fancy props. Just three women, connected by love, surrounded by nature, and framed by florals. These are the kinds of sessions that remind me why I do what I do: to capture not just faces, but relationships. The way Natalia lit up with that puppet. The tenderness in Jayla’s smile. The deep joy in YaYa’s eyes.


Generations change, babies grow, and time keeps moving—but these moments? They stay.
