Jade’s Santa Experience: Why the Fake Snow Was Way More Interesting Than Santa!



The holiday season is officially here, and with it comes one of our favorite traditions—Santa photos! This year, we brought Jade in for her first big visit with Santa, and we were all excited to see how she’d react. Little did we know, it wasn’t the jolly man in the red suit that would catch her attention, but something completely unexpected: the fake snow!


From the moment we stepped into the studio, Jade was wide-eyed, but it wasn’t because of Santa’s twinkling eyes or his fluffy beard. Nope. She was immediately fixated on the fake snow scattered around the set! ❄️ While we tried to get her to engage with Santa (who was doing his best to be as friendly and inviting as ever), Jade had other plans.


Every time we thought we’d get a smile for the camera, Jade’s gaze would drift right back to the snow. She would stare at it, reach out for it, and even give it her best “What is this stuff?” look. We couldn’t help but laugh at how much more interested she was in the snowy setup than in the actual star of the show. 😂


At one point, it became clear that Santa could have been anyone—or anything—and Jade still wouldn’t have cared because all she wanted to do was figure out that snow! It’s moments like these that remind us how unpredictable and hilarious kids can be during the holiday season.


Although her focus was a little diverted from Santa, we still managed to capture some sweet and funny moments. Seeing Jade’s curiosity unfold was a beautiful reminder that the magic of the season comes in all forms, whether it’s Santa Claus himself or something as simple as a few flakes of faux snow.


As parents, we’re always expecting these picture-perfect moments, but it’s the candid, unscripted reactions that often make the best memories. So, even though Jade wasn’t in the mood for a cozy Santa cuddle this time, we’ve got some priceless photos (and an even better story) that we’ll be laughing about for years to come.


Who knows? Maybe next year, the snow won’t steal the spotlight! But for now, we’re embracing every quirky moment.
