When a client comes back again and again, it’s one of the best compliments I can get. This beach session marked my fourth with Hailey and little Miss Mallory — and when she asked if I was available to photograph her family while they were visiting from Utah, you better believe I said yes.


My family turned it into a full-on beach day (because why wouldn’t you?), and wrapped it up with this beautiful, unfiltered session with Hailey's family. Hailey and her husband Scott live here in NC, while her parents, Jeff and Lynda, and her brother Griffin were visiting from Utah. These kinds of moments — when everyone is together — are the ones you want to capture.


Lynda showed up in an absolutely stunning vintage dress that I couldn’t stop gushing over, and Hailey looked equally gorgeous in her perfect-for-the-beach dress. And then there was little Mallory — who 100% stole the show. Naturally, I brought along a tiny wooden rocking chair to the beach (because why not?), and Mallory wasted no time claiming it as her throne.


This session at Topsail Beach was full of laughter, wind-blown hair, sandy toes, and pure joy — exactly what “Family Unfiltered” is all about. Sessions like this remind me how special it is to freeze these in-between, perfectly imperfect moments.
